Burk: @tgray not currently.. but definitely tag away for future search! Out of curiosity, what tags do you think fit best?
macgenie: @Burk @tgray @manton When I type "science," the iOS keyboard suggests 🔬. Which is the opposite of 🔭. I can't find a word that will suggest the telescope icon, not telescope, astromony, or space. 🤔 Considering how much interest there is in space exploration, I think the telescope should be reserved for that. Does that fit your use, @tgray?

mdhughes: @macgenie @Burk @tgray @manton I would use 🚀 for space, even though 🛰 and 🔭 are just as relevant. Kind of the problem with emoji tags. Related, I'd like to have WP tags turned into either hashtags or emoji on crosspost. I tag everything and it xposts tags on Mastodon.
manton: @macgenie @tgray @Burk I think the emoji are most successful when they come from what people are already using. So definitely pick one you like and try it! The suggestions on this page for science seem good, though.

tgray: @tgray There a few good ones now. iOS suggests 4: 🧪🧫🧬🔬. I think I like the DNA one the most as an idea but maybe the microscrope is a more recognizable icon. Personally, I think an atom would be the best but the atom emoji kinda stinks: ⚛️
tgray: @macgenie That’s odd. Telescope does suggest 🔭. But good suggestion on the iOS suggestions. 🔬 it is. Oddly the four emoji that are suggested for ‘science’ are chemistry or biology centric. Makes me feel left out :)
